Andrey Andrianov
Andrei Andrianov is a dancer, choreographer and teacher. In 1979 began his dance career in Modern Dance and Mime Theater by Gedrus Mackjavichus in Moscow. He learned modern dance, pantomime, improvisation, marshal arts, acting.
Later on in Europe he also studied Contact Improvisation, BMC, release techniques and performance art. In 1993, together with Russian dancer-choreographer Oleg Soulimenko, he created a very specific dance-performance duet, which they presented under the name of Saira Blanche Theater on festivals and dance events in many cites such Vienna, Moscow, Amsterdam, Berlin, New York, Yaroslavl, Ekaterinburg, Greifswald, Potsdam, Stockholm, Braunsweig and many others. From 1996 till 2000 he continuously collaborated with performance group Lux Flux from Vienna. Their work was shown in Tanz Plattform Wien in 98, Festival Impulstanz in 98, Wiener Festwochen in 1999 and 2000.
From 2001 Andrei took a permanent job as dancer in a new organized company Do-Dance, under the leadership of Japanese choreographer Min Tanaka, in Moscow Theater School of Dramatic Art founded by Anatoly Vasiliev. In period April – May 2003 he was choose as “choreographer on residence” in Tanzquartier Wien in Vienna, where he presented his solo work, and also created a solo performance for Factory Season series. In May 2007 Andrei Andrianov and Oleg Soulimenko successfully resume collaboration and presented they new work in Tanzquartier Wien. He directed a piece called Burnashev & Andrianov (live) – it’s premiere was on April 2008, in Moscow. Since 2008 Andrey regularly participated in a collaboration projects with brut (Vienna).
